Born in 1972. Tetsuzi Yamaguchi began his freelance illustration career after a stint working at a Japanese design firm. With a technique involving drawn designs on hand-dyed fabrics, Yamaguchi’s work has appeared in magazines, advertisements and product designs around Japan. Yamaguchi has exhibited his original works at a number of solo exhibitions in Japan and has appeared along with a number of other “cat artists” at international art fairs in Australia and Paris. After a recent solo exhibition held in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan his “Mt Fuji” themed artwork was chosen to appear at the 2013 Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
Yamaguchi says his two passions are cats and Wisky.
