1947 Born in OhitoTown (now IzunokuniCity), ShizuokaPrefecture

1971 Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, TokyoNationalUniversity of the Arts and Music

1973 Completed the program in Metal Casting at the university’s Graduate School of Fine Arts

1979  Studied metal sculpting for a year under sculptors in Hamburg, Germany, as an overseas art trainee sent by the Agency of Cultural Affairs
